Procedures available at Orange

Bone grafting
Rebuilding bone volume where there is not enough to support an implant.
Sinus lift

All-on-4 implants

Your first visit
What happens at your first appointment
A first appointment is an assessment, not a commitment. It usually takes between thirty and forty-five minutes.
Assessment and imaging
Please bring a recent OPG, a panoramic X-ray of the jaws, as it is needed for your first consultation. If you do not have one, call us and we will tell you where to have it taken. Dr Ullah examines the area of concern and will let you know if further imaging, such as a 3D cone beam scan, is needed.
Discussing the options
You are told what is going on, what the realistic options are including doing nothing, and what each one involves. Anaesthesia is part of that conversation: local anaesthesia in the clinic, or a general anaesthetic in hospital where that is clinically appropriate.
A written quote
You leave with a written quote setting out the fees and the relevant item numbers, so you can check it with your health fund. Fees vary with complexity and the number of stages, and nothing is booked on the day unless you want it to be.
Treatment and review
The procedure is scheduled at a time that suits, with written pre-operative and post-operative instructions. Review appointments are arranged locally, and we write back to your own dentist where they are involved in your care.

Serving Orange and the Central West
The Orange clinic is on Prince Street, close to the centre of town. Patients travel from Bathurst, Blayney, Molong, Canowindra, Cowra, Parkes, Forbes and Wellington, and a number come from as far as Dubbo, Mudgee and Condobolin.
Access is the reason this clinic exists. Specialist oral surgery has historically meant a round trip to Sydney of four or more hours, repeated across a consultation, the procedure and a review. Running clinics and operating lists in Orange means most patients complete their treatment locally.
Where a case genuinely needs to be done in Sydney, that is explained at the consultation before anything is booked, along with what it involves, so you can plan travel and time off work rather than finding out late.
Dr Ullah also consults at Kingswood and Bankstown. His full credentials, research and university role are set out on his profile page.
Common questions
Do I need to travel to Sydney for oral surgery?
In most cases, no. Consultations, and surgical procedures including those under general anaesthesia, are carried out in Orange, with surgical cases managed at Ramsay Surgical Centre Orange where clinically appropriate. If a case does need to be done in Sydney, that is explained at the consultation before anything is booked.
Do I need a referral?
No. You can book an appointment directly. If your dentist or doctor has written a referral, bring it with you along with any recent scans, because it helps with planning and avoids repeating imaging.
How often does Dr Ullah consult in Orange?
Clinics and operating lists in Orange run to a set schedule rather than daily. Phone the clinic for the next available appointment, and tell us if the problem is urgent so it can be triaged.
What does treatment cost?
The initial consultation is $200 to $250. Fees depend on the procedure, its complexity and the number of stages involved, and whether treatment is carried out in the clinic or in a surgical centre. A written quote with item numbers is provided after your examination, so you can check it with your health fund before deciding.
Does Medicare or my health fund cover oral surgery?
Medicare does not generally cover dental treatment. Some surgical procedures performed in hospital or a licensed day surgery may attract a Medicare item number, and hospital cover through a private health fund may contribute to theatre costs. The applicable item numbers are set out in your written quote so you can confirm your entitlement before treatment.
Can I have my follow-up appointments locally?
Yes. Reviews and post-operative care are arranged in Orange. Where your own dentist is involved in the later restorative stages of implant treatment, we coordinate directly with them.
Patient reviews
Reviews for the Orange clinic are published on our Google Business Profile, where you can read them in full and in context. We do not reproduce patient reviews on this website.
